"I am not a believer in the word style. Styles is what make people feel separate."
These were the words of Bruce Lee, who studied martial arts from different teachers. Whether learning Wing Tsung through his master Yip Man, or playing tapes of Muhammad Ali on boxing, Bruce Lee was open to any type of martial arts.
What he would study would be where their power was coming from and what would work better for his particular body.
Life is not about adopting to someone's belief systems. It's about finding your own truth.
As Bruce Lee said himself:
"I cannot teach you. Only help you to explore yourself."
Knowledge can be transferred, but wisdom cannot be taught - it needs to be experienced and integrated.
